For the past 7 years living in this gorgeus and so unique city, it’s been my mission to take photos at the best Amsterdam Instagrammable spot.
In this post you’ll find many helpful tips too that could make your content creator life a lot easier such as the best time to visit these spots and also what camera settings you might want to use!

Damrak
Out of all popular Amsterdam spots, this one of the narrow Dutch houses is probably the most photographed one.
TIP : If you are morning persons I really raccomand you to get there for sunrise, the light is really magical in sunny days.
Best Time to Go
Although it’s in the city center and there’s sometimes few people taking photo already, you shouldn’t wait more than 10 or 15 minutes on top to take your shot. You can really go anytime of the day.
Bloemenmarkt
or Floating Flower Market
Located in the heart of Amsterdam, the Bloemenmarkt is with any doubt one of the most attractive spots for tourists and locals.
Here you can buy tulips bulbs, they have them is somany cute colors but you can buy other kinds of flowers bulbs, not just tulips.
TIP : most of the stands sell more bulbs than actually flowers making it less exciting than what you see in the photo above. There’s only one stand that is really Instagrammable but be aware that the owner of the shop doesn’t likepeople taking photo so be nice, buy something before pullig out your camera and thank her in advance.
Best Time to Go : if you are not planning to go there during weekends, it doesn’t really matter what time you get there, otherwise try to be there between 9am and 11am.
Magere Brug or Skinny Bridge
Magere Brug is absolutely the one you don’t wanna miss out! Known to be one of the most romantic bridge in Amsterdam the skinny Bridge is located in the center on the city, close to Waterlooplein.
Tradition says that the Skinny Bridge was named after the sisters Magere whom were supposed to live on opposite sides of the river and apparentely the bridge was built to make it easier to see one another.
I don’t actually know if the Magere Brug is “officially” considered as an Instagrammable place, but if it isn’t well, that’s a mistake! With its old Dutch wooden design, this is one of the most picturesque bridge in Amsterdam!
Best Time to Go : Actually you can go there at anytime, it doesn’t get really crowded, most of the people are just crossing the bridge, walking or cycling, you don’t need to wait to get a shot.
Those are just a few of my favorite instagrammable places in Amsterdam! Stay tuned for Part II
